Petro-Pipes provide passive water drainage at 4 gallons per minute. Prior to the Petro-Pipes the area manually drained after rain storms. A filter cage captures dirt and debris, preventing the Petro-Pipes from  clogging and requiring less maintenance.

Petro-Pipe Used In New Transformer Substation 
Oil Containment System 

Two Petro-Pipes for oil containment are used for each transformer in his transformer containment area.

A filter basket is used on the oil containment area floor to prevent dirt and debris from entering the Petro-Pipe.

 

Angled Petro-Pipes are installed in a fiberglass box below the grade surface and out of the way. The Petro-Pipes provide up to 8 gallons of oil-free water drainage per minute while providing 100% oil spill containment.

 

Petro-Pipe Used in Transformer Substation Containment Retrofit

 
An angled Petro-Pipe with a male fitting is attached to a ball valve for containment area water drainage, filtering out oil sheen and totally shutting down in an oil spill. The Petro-Pipe is available in 1”, 2”, 3” and 6” sizes with male or female fittings.

A Petro-Pipe attached to a ball valve drains up to 4 gallons per minute directly into water 10 feet below. Only water is drained; any oil sheen or a potential spill is stopped from discharging.
