How Is SPI’s Complete Containment System Installed?
As part of our complete containment system, we offer professional installation. However, if excavation and rock work are necessary, you must hire a general contractor since we do not offer such services.
After excavating the containment area to match the required oil capacity and creating a strategic slope in the terrain, the installation process is as follows:

- Remove the drop-in liner from its container.
- Align the pre-installed flange connector with the outflow drain.
- Lay the liner on the transformer pad.
- Install the Petro-Pipe.
- Bolt the liner to the transformer pad with industrial-grade batten strips.
- Trim and landscape the area.
After establishing a route for drainage and building a containment area, our technicians will install the Petro-Barriers in the drainage sumps. If your facility requires a Pump-Thru Barrier, this system will be installed instead.
Based on the size of your containment area and the number of systems you need, the installation time of our comprehensive oil containment solution can span as little as four hours.
